Dinner Theater

Dinner Theater

The Camden County Museum is housed in an old school building and as such has an historical stage.

In 1996 the Activity Committee held the first Melodrama on this stage. From this the Camden County Museum Players was born. This group operates as a true Community Theater in that all folks are welcome to participate. The Players present six plays each year so there are plenty of opportunities for anyone interested in performing.

Beginning in the spring of 2002 the Camden County Museum Players formed a theater group for children ages 6 to 15. This group called the Young Museum Players presents several plays during the year.

In 2004 the group presented “Little Women” as their first Dinner Theater performance. This was so well received that the group presented “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” in 2005.

2006 saw the presentation of “The Wind in the Willows”. Each year the group grows in size and also in talent. We are very proud of the growth of our children in their ability and in their dedication to the projects.

If you are interested in joining our little band of performers, please contact Daphne Jeffries at the museum by calling 573-873-2990 or by e-mail
